FreeResume.me as a Zety alternative (2026)
Zety is a polished resume builder that commonly charges when you download a PDF. FreeResume.me lets you export one resume as a watermark-free PDF on the free plan. Pro exists for unlimited resumes, unlimited ATS scoring, cover letters, academic CVs, and Pro portfolio themes.

Where Zety wins
Zety still wins if you want a large paid template catalog and a more wizard-driven writing coach. Their library is bigger than our 10 resume templates.
Where FreeResume.me wins
We win on a free, watermark-free PDF of one resume and a browser-local ATS scan you can try before paying. There is no download paywall on that first resume.
PDF is free here; Zety often charges at download
The usual complaint about Zety is building a resume, then hitting a subscription prompt to save a PDF. On FreeResume.me that first resume downloads without a watermark. Extra tailored copies are Pro.
Pro is real — we do not pretend otherwise
Free includes 1 resume, a watermark-free PDF, and a standard portfolio. Pro unlocks unlimited resumes, unlimited ATS scoring, cover letters, academic CVs, and Pro portfolio themes.
Before you apply, use our free ATS resume scanner to check your resume against the job description. One scan is free; unlimited scans are Pro.
