Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Free Resume provides an online resume, CV, and cover letter builder with templates, editing tools, optional AI assistance, cloud storage for registered users, and document export features. Features may change, be added, or removed over time.

We offer free access to core functionality. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or usage limits in the future with notice where required.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account. You may use certain builder features without an account as described on the site.

You may delete your account at any time from your Profile page. Upon deletion, your account, documents, and associated data will be permanently removed from our systems, except where retention is required by law.

You retain ownership of content you create in the Service (your “User Content”). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, display, and transmit User Content solely to operate and improve the Service, including backup, sync, PDF generation, and optional AI features you invoke.

You represent that you have the rights to submit User Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights. Do not upload unlawful, defamatory, harassing, infringing, or malicious material.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate others' rights;
• Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
• Scrape, crawl, or overload the Service except via documented APIs;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent security measures;
• Upload malware or interfere with Service operation;
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications;
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations or conduct that harms users, the Service, or third parties.

Where AI writing assistance is available, outputs are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all content before use. AI features are provided “as is” without guarantee of suitability for any particular job application or outcome.

The Service, including software, design, templates, branding, and documentation (excluding User Content), is owned by Free Resume or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or brand assets except as needed to use the Service.

The Service may integrate with third-party sign-in, hosting, advertising, or analytics providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their separate terms and policies.

We may display advertisements through Google AdSense and other advertising partners. These partners may use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy. You can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie consent banner.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DOCUMENTS WILL RESULT IN EMPLOYMENT OR INTERVIEWS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Free Resume AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Free Resume from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You can permanently delete your account from your Profile page. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if required for legal or security reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute terms) will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.

Before filing a formal dispute, please contact support@freeresume.me so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Where permitted, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United Arab Emirates.

We may modify these Terms. We will post updates on this page and update the effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes may require additional notice where required by law.
